Friday’s Fancies #16: Blazer beauty

I know I can always count on the lovely {av} from Long distance loving to choose the best and the most interesting themes for my favorite Friday’s Fancies link-up. This week I’ve been doing some serious brainstorming on the beauty of blazers, and I couldn’t be happier with the result! A great blazer is something that will never go out of style, never mind the color, length or price point. It will always make you feel more polished and elegant. This is what my dream “all about blazer” outfit would look like:

1. This berry-colored blazer has immediately caught my eye. It has the most beautiful cut and color I’ve seen in a while. My favorite way to wear a blazer is to throw it over a more casual outfit: a great pair of jeans and a relaxed tee. But this one would look even better with a all-white dress or some sexy skirt…

2. …like this one, for example. I’ve been looking for the perfect leather skirt longer that I care to admit, and I finally think that this Alice + Olivia number might be THE one. The pleats make it look playful and fun, but thanks to the polished leather it still has this elegant and sexy feel to it. Perfection.

3. Those of you who check out my blog regularly know, that I’m a huge fan of ankle boots. I think they’re just the best shoes for fall: they keep your feet warm in the chilly mornings, and they don’t look too stuffy. It’s not a secret either that I love everything Rachel Zoe does, and these Audrey booties are bananas 🙂 

4. Recently I realized that a classic black bag had been missing in my collection. Luckily I’ve discovered this beautiful quilted hobo bag by Fiorelli. I didn’t hesitate, and it´s already on its way to me 🙂 Check!

5. I’m really into jewel tones this fall, that’s why I’m so in love with this perfect emerald nail polish. Essie´s Trophy Wife is equally chic and edgy, and I love the subtle shimmer it gives to my nails. 

6. A swipe of cherry-colored lipstick is all it takes to transform a lousy morning into something more polished and glamorous.
